I meant to post this on February 1st, but the day ended up getting away from me. Truth be told, January itself got away from me and that’s why there have been a lack of blog posts from me. I think the bumpy start to my year is starting to smooth out, so I’m hoping to get back to one or two posts a week starting this week. So stayed tuned for upcoming blog posts on book reviews, life updates, adventures, and more!

Though January was a rocky month in most categories, I did really well with my reading goals! So here’s the breakdown of all the pages in my reading journal and what I filled in for each.

Out of my 26 books to read this year, I read 7 of them! Technically one ended up being a DNF, but I am still checking it off as I did read about half of it before deciding it wasn’t for me.

For my daily reading challenge, I read all 31 days!

For read around the alphabet, I filled in the letters B, D, G, I, M, and T.

For book BINGO, I was able to fill in four spaces-
New to me author (Matt Haig)
Book I want to read based off the title (The Dictionary of Lost Words)
Book I would reread (The Book of Speculation)
Book I DNF’ed (Witches)

So far I’ve read 8 books in 2023. I didn’t count the DNF book because well, I didn’t finish it!

My book of the month was The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield. I gave it a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating

I didn’t have this as a category in my reading journal, but my least favorite book was The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams. It received a ⭐️⭐️ rating from me. The book I DNF’ed was Witches by Nigel Cawthorne.
