I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m ready to be done with 2021. This year has been one of the roughest ones I’ve had in a long time. A lot of things happened that I never thought would happen. A lot of changes have (and still are) happening for me. I feel like my goals have gone off the tracks a bit. I know I’ve mentally gone off the tracks more than once this year… and I’m just done with this year. Though I know I have things to look forward to like my 30th birthday and Halloween (which I’ve already started thinking about and am excited for), I would really just like to fast forward to the start of 2022 and look ahead to new goals, new opportunities, and more. But we still have a little over 5 months to go before the start of 2022! But me being me, I’ve already started thinking about 2022 a bit.
To start with, I already order my 2022 planner from Con*Quest Journals. It’s similar to my current planner, but with a different theme, different color scheme, etc. I pre-ordered it, so it should be arriving about mid-September and I am very excited to receive it! In the meantime, I’ve started looking online for planner inspiration because I want to do a completely different setup for my 2022 planner. I want to make better use of every part of it and make it more visually appealing for myself. So once I get the planner in and start setting it up, I will be sharing it with all of you! So keep an eye out for a future planner blog post!
Next, I’ve already started thinking about the 13 books I want to read in 2022. I am going to try really hard to make it books that I already own so I can knock down my TBR pile (which has gotten way out of hand at this point), or I’m going to try to choose books that I could easily check out from the library that have been on my TBR pile forever (like book series I need to finish, etc). Looking at my shelves now, I can see at least 3 potential candidates for my 2022 list, but won’t say what they are until I have my 13 official choices. This will also be an upcoming blog post once I choose them!
Then we have my 2022 goals. So far I haven’t made any solid goals yet because at least writing wise, I need to see how my 2021 goals end up because there are some goals that may roll over into 2022 if I don’t complete them this year. Personal goals (which I may or may not share, haven’t decided yet), I’m beginning to form some ideas for. I feel like with my personal goals I really need to reflect out what’s most important to me… because I feel like I’ve wasted so much time putting focus into things that weren’t important to me and I don’t want to do that anymore. So these are going to take some time for me to completely flesh out, but it’s definitely something I’m thinking about already.
Have you started your 2022 planning yet? Or are you waiting until we’re a bit closer to it? Also, is anyone else excited for Halloween already or is it just me? I would love to know! I hope everyone has a relaxing and safe weekend!
