So I didn’t realize it until today, but I am 3 days away from my six year anniversary of starting this blog! My first post was an About the Blogger post (feel free to go back and read it if you want. I did and cringed a small bit). So I decided that for my almost six year anniversary and since my blog has grown since that first post, I would re-introduce myself to my newer blog followers who might not have been around six years ago! So here goes!

Hello everyone, my name is Michelle. I am twenty-nine (though I’m getting closer to thirty) and I currently reside in Englewood, Florida. I am a recent graduate of Full Sail University, earning an MFA degree in Creative Writing. My undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College is a Literary Arts degree. My major was English with a minor in Creative Writing. I currently work at a grocery store stocking their dairy section, which pays the bills, but isn’t my passion. I am currently working on re-entering the world of freelancing writing as well as applying for several writing jobs (with no luck so far). I have also started my own small editing services business and am in the process of editing a novel for a client (and am hoping to have more clients soon).

I am a proud Ravenclaw (Hogwarts house) and Erudite (Divergent faction). My favorite book series is Harry Potter and my favorite classic novels are Dracula and The Picture of Dorian Gray. I am also a huge fan of the works of Edgar Allan Poe, The Tell-Tale Heart is my favorite. I prefer Fiction over Non-Fiction, series over one off books, and if it has a vampire in it, I’ll most likely read it (yes I went through the Twilight phase, don’t judge). My to-read list is so long at this point that I would need to be a vampire in order to complete it! And I also have the tendency to buy really nice notebooks and then never write in them, but I’m working on improving that!

I am currently in the second round of Beta Readers for the first novel of my series The Death Club. While awaiting feedback on it, I am working on the second novel in the series. Besides this series, I have several other novels impatiently waiting to be written. My hopes is to have the first novel in The Death Club series ready for publishing by the end of this year and have the first draft of the second novel done by the end of this year.
