This is a very impromptu blog post. Originally I had no plans on writing about this, but after receiving my copy today and looking through it, I felt so much joy and excitement that I wanted to share it with all of you! I know its been a rough time in the fandom and a lot of people will probably avoid purchasing this because of money going to JKR and that is completely understandable! However, with this purchase I am supporting the amazing artists at MinaLima, who have dedicated so much time and energy into bringing the wizarding world alive with their beautiful designs! So that’s my reason, whether you agree or disagree with it.
I picked up my copy at my bookstore job (hello employee discount) and with each purchase you get this beautiful MinaLima print (which we do come across in the actual book). As someone who knows how pricey MinaLima prints are (my bank account cries every time I look at one), being able to own one, even though it’s mass produced, is super exciting to me! I can’t wait to frame it and hang it up on my wall (sorry in advance to my fiancee for yet another room change).

The book cover… I got chills the first time I saw it. I honestly felt like I was ten again and reliving my first Harry Potter memories. It also made me think of the first time I visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and was able to look up at Hogwarts for myself. It will always be one of my most treasured memories. Honestly, this cover screams whimsical nostalgia and I love it. Dare I say, I may even like it more than the original cover art!

The illustrations within the book are amazing. They feel whimsical, magical, and immersive. While I couldn’t photograph every single illustration (we would all be here for a very long time), I decided to show off some of my favorites!
Some of the illustrations are even interactive! (I’ve already played with the watch one and the turban one).

Overall, this is a beautiful edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and I am happy to add it to my Harry Potter book collection. I can’t wait to reread the story with this edition and be immersed in a world I have come to love so much!
Have you bought this edition? Do you plan on buying it? What do you think of it? Let me know all your thoughts! I hope everyone has a magical week!
P.S. My usual Wednesday post is still being posted as planned, so this hasn’t replaced my usual content. I just wanted to give you guys a nice bonus post as a small thank you for all your comments and support!
This definitely has the wow factor!
