My New Thing I Tried In January: Veggie Burger

After my recent health issues, I’ve realized I need to be more cautious about what I put in my body. Though I don’t know yet if my diet will need to change or not, I’ve figured it couldn’t hurt to start making small alterations to it.

So on Sunday January 19th at Wimpy’s Burgers in Universal Studios Island of Adventure, I tried my first veggie burger… and it wasn’t too bad, but I’m not sure I like it more than a regular burger.

It’s hard to describe the taste and I’m not entirely sure what was in it besides corn. I think there might have been black beans, but I couldn’t taste them if they were. I had pickles, lettuce, and mayo on the burger. I know mayo isn’t vegan, but I needed something on the burger as I do with all my burgers.

The burger wasn’t juicy, but it wasn’t dry either. It was easy to chew and the texture wasn’t bad either. And I felt full afterwards, as I do with a normal burger, so I didn’t feel unsatisfied when I was done. And it seemed to agree well with my digestive system, which I am very thankful about!

Since I’ve only tried one veggie burger from one place, I can’t say for sure whether I’ll eat them more than regular burgers at some point of it maybe I’ll do a trade off of which one I eat every time I have a burger. I do know that I’m interested in trying other veggie burgers from other restaurants and burger places, so that should be an adventure!

Has anyone else ever eaten a veggie burger? Did you like it? Dislike it? Have neutral feeling about it? Let me know your thoughts! And have a great week everyone!
