A Return to the Blog!

Hello everyone. It has been a very long time since I’ve updated this blog. But now I’m back, at least on some capacity. So I guess where to start-

Since my last blog post I started another blog about anxiety and depression- which I will link down below for anyone interested in reading it. That took up a lot of my focus, especially with how bad my own anxiety and depression were at the time. I haven’t updated that blog in awhile either… but the last 4-5 months of this year have turned into a plot twist I wasn’t at all prepared for. But I’m back and ready to post on both blogs. So hopefully people are still around to read them!

Back in May, after 5 long and hard years, I finally graduated college! Even though I don’t look back on the ceremony and day itself fondly- that might possibly be a story for another time- it feels good to have finally obtained my degree. But the depression and uncertainty that came afterwards did not feel good- which I will get into on a later post.

And then the biggest plot twist of all this year was moving out of my parents place. I got into a new relationship and within a few months I was moving into his house… only to move out about two months later. And believe me, that is a very long story in and of itself. Might be a future post if anyone is interested.

So what am I up to now? Well for starters, I am now working freelance as a writer! I have already three articles for one website, have gotten an hourly job creating content for another website, and am currently pursuing other projects as well. In short, I have fully committed myself to being a writer. I am also currently working on getting things in order so I can apply to graduate school! I thought long and hard about it and I realized continuing on with my education is something i still really want to do and it makes me really excited and happy. So I don’t know much more than that right now, but will keep you updated throughout the grad school process. If anyone has any grad school recommendations for MFA programs in genre writing, please let me know!

So I’m not really sure what else to say right now. Expect more blog posts in the coming days and weeks! Hope everyone has a lovely holiday season and an even better New Year! Because I think we can all agree we’re done with 2018.
